Awesome Free Roundicons
This week’s free icons is from the ever-reputable web design website Smashing Magazine. This week’s free icon set is the Roundicons icon set, featuring 60 pixel-perfect icons that totally rock. They are available in PNG, SVG, EPS and Ai format. This is excellent, because if you like them how they are, you can simply drop them into your site, and hit the ground running. if you want to modify them, you can easily bring them into Illustrator and change anything you like. What I really like about this set is that no attribution is required. You can use them however you want, with no restrictions. The only thing that you really can’t do is package them up and resell them, which I know you wouldn’t do, because that just isn’t right. They are free to download, with no sign ups or social sharing required, and you can use them in personal or commercial projects. The Roundicons icon set is free to download and comes in the formats that I mentioned above. They also come in 5 different sizes (48 × 48, 64 × 64 pixels, 128 × 128 pixels, 256 × 256 pixels, 512 × 512 pixels). They are Retina display ready, so they made it easy to use, without any fuss. They also mention that you could easily use the circular icon, or you could remove the circle and just use the icon, which is very useful if your design just doesn’t work with the circular concept. The color palette is consistent, and all of the icons feel unified across the entire set. Being as editable as they are, you can always just change the colors to be your own personal branding.
