Image Processor in Adobe Photoshop

How many times have you been working in Photoshop and thought to yourself “I wish there was a quicker or easier way to do this”? Well, chances are that there is a better way to do things. It seems like there’s always a faster or more efficient way to do things inside of Photoshop. In every update, it seems like they’re adding new capabilities to help automate your workflow. There’s one feature that has been around for a while, called the image processor, which can be a huge time saver if you know how to use it. In this tutorial video, I’ll show you how to use the image processor in Photoshop to save you a ton of time.

The image processor feature in Photoshop can be found under file> scripts. When you choose this option, you have several useful features available to you. You can choose to apply this script to all of the images open in your Photoshop program. Another option that you have is to point to all of the files contained within a folder. Next, you will choose a destination folder for your processed images. This can be a different folder, or you can simply have Photoshop placed the new files in the same folder as the originals.

You can see in the tutorial video, that I was able to successfully convert many PNG files to JPEG format automatically. Normally, I would have to open each file and save it manually as a JPEG. Depending on how many files I have, this could take a long time. However, using the image processor in Photoshop, I was able to process all of these images automatically without having to lift a finger.
